Hey the script found at http://global-social.net/tiki-view_blog.php?blogId=3seems like it does an awesome job of simplifying the unusual process of getting Ubuntu working on the Vaio Z, but when I tried to run it on my VPC Z1290x it gave an error that this particular laptop wasn't supported.
I apologize but I'm not entirely sure where to begin in fixing this issue. There isn't an xorg.conf file for one thing, which I find rather odd. jockey-text doesn't run (not using jockey-gtk due to the lack of anything other than a cli) as it complains it can't connect to the D-Bus. What further information can I give to help come up with a solution? Thanks, - Ben
