Hi my technique on my linux install (archlinux on VPCZ13C5E) was the same as described by Norbert Preining. I'm now wondering what the latest stable sony-laptop module that works with what latest stable kernel I should use because I tried it with 2.6.39-rc4-git3 but that gave me kernel panics a few times. If I understand correctly, whenever the grapicsswitch is on stamina the sony-laptop module would do the same as acpi_call. I don't have the hacked bios though altough last time when I did this with 2.6.39-rc4-git3 I got ALOT more batterylife and this would be appreciated to get more not only battery time but also save on my battery degradation.
