REPUBLIC OF SERBIAN KRAJINA

GOVERNMENT IN EXILE

11080 Zemun, Magistratski trg 3

Phone: 3077-028, Fax: 316-46-79, Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Number 242/06 - May 11, 2006

The Government in Exile of the Republic of Serbian Krajina has the honor of
greeting the Diplomatic and Consular Representative Offices in the State Union
of Serbia and Montenegro and reminding them of its communiqué number 227/06
dated April 14, 2006 presenting data on the forcible conversion to Roman
Catholicism, accompanied by acts of terror and threats, of approximately 30,000
Serbs in the Republic of Croatia.

The Government once again reminds the Diplomatic and Consular Representative
Offices that the conversion of children from one group to another constitutes a
crime of genocide, as foreseen in United Nations General Assembly Resolution
260 A (III) dated December 9, 1948, and its Convention on the Prevention and
Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (Article 2, Section "e").

The Government once again informs the Diplomatic and Consular Representative
Offices that no international court has initiated a procedure against this
crime of genocide in the Republic of Croatia. Also horrifying is the fact that
the members of the UN, international organizations and the Holy See have not
responded to the request of the Government of the Republic of Serbian Krajina
from 1993 to prevent Croatia from carrying out the crime of genocide, i.e. the
forcible conversion to Roman Catholicism of the faithful of the Serbian
Orthodox Church. That same year they were provided with the names of Roman
Catholic priests and addresses of Roman Catholic churches in Zagreb where this
was done.

The Government believed that today the world is more ready to confront the
truth regarding this genocide against the Serbs and thus hoped that the
Diplomatic and Consular Representative Offices in Serbia and Montenegro would
react to the above-cited information in the communiqué of April 14, 2006.
Sadly, they have not done this nor has His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI.

The Government of the Republic of Serbian Krajina asks the Diplomatic and
Consular Representative Offices to convey to their respective governments that
it is their civilization's duty to investigate the circumstances and extent of
the Croatian crime of genocide against the Serbs and to ask the Holy See to
place at the disposal of international mediators (the UN, the EU, OSCE) the
baptismal registers of Roman Catholic churches in Croatia. The Diplomatic and
Consular Representative Offices can read details regarding the conversion of
the Serbs in the May 8, 2006 issue of the respected Belgrade daily Novosti,
which includes the estimate by a Serbian Orthodox priest in Zagreb, Father
Milenko Popovic, that the number of converted Serbs in Croatia exceeds 30,000).

The Government in Exile of the Republic of Serbian Krajina informs the
Diplomatic and Consular Representative Offices that this letter will be open
due to the fact that the governments of European countries attach no importance
to the persecution of the Serbian people in Croatia.

The Government in Exile of the Republic of Serbian Krajina once again takes the
opportunity of repeating the expression of its high regard for the Diplomatic
and Consular Representative Offices in the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro.
