TORIT SPLM WOMEN LEAGUE ELECTS NEW COMMITTEE

Eastern Equatoria state SPLM Women League on Thursday elected a new
executive committee in Torit.

Vivian Candido is the new chairperson replacing Flora Ikoli and Samira
Louis was voted deputy person replacing Josephine Thomas, Emmanuel
Radio reported.

Some new members include secretary Hellen Siama Pasqual, deputized by
Grace Tobs, treasurer Amira Al-haj, assisted by Jennifer Nabong’orika.

Christine Paul is elected information secretary assisted by Rose
Lachimi, and Lina Paul and Josephine Thomas became advisors.

Veronica Biato, Elizabeth Adodo and Vergina Leju are the new
secretaries for research.

The election coincided with commemoration of the SPLM/A thirtieth anniversary.

The colourful ceremony brought together top state government officials
from both the executive and the parliament.
