AWEIL READY FOR INTER-SCHOOLS COMPETITION Saturday, 18 May 2013 14:10 | Northern Bahr el Ghazal confirmed that Aweil students are ready for the national inter-schools tournament scheduled for May 27 in Wau.
State General Education Minister Kon Deng Chan said schools in the state are prepared for national inter-schools competition, Voice of Hope reported. Mr Deng added that the extra-curriculum department prepared the students in all schools of the state to participate positively in the competition. He explained that the state has just concluded the local inter-school tournament and the ministry is in the process of selecting teams to represent Northern Bahr el Ghazal in Wau. The minister complained that his state lacks sufficient play grounds for sports activities. Mr Deng stressed that the national tournament is an opportunity for students of the ten states to know each other as brothers and sisters and accept their diversities. He said the tournament is more than cups and medals; it is about unity, peace and integration. Mr Deng suggested that national boarding schools should be built as a chance for the new generation to resolve issues of tribalism and segregation. The minister is optimistic that his state students will do their level best in the inter-schools games. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
