Gogrial governor appoints two female commissioners, female mayor

KUACJOK (27 Feb.)

Gregory Deng Kuac, Governor of Gogrial State, has issued a decision
appointing two female county commissioners and another female mayor for the
Kuacjok municipality.

In his gubernatorial decree on Thursday, Governor Gregory appointed Ms.
Alith Deng as new County Commissioner of Apuk West replacing Nyang Akol,
and Ms. Aliet Gor Adim as new Commissioner of Aguok Centre County.

Gregory issued another decree removing John Akol Ngor from his position as
mayor of Kuajok town and replaced him with Ms. Asunta Yar.

In January, the state governor promised to allocate three positions of
county commissioners to women in the state to recognize their role during
the liberation struggle.
