Comment out the entire ifdef (about 4 lines). Make sure you use 'C'
comments, /* <ifdef stuff> */ and re-compile. I'd uncomment the lines

Actually, all you need to do is to move the #include <png.h> line and
its surrounding ifdefs *before* the other includes. Don't edit your
system include files :)
yup, I figured that out :)
ok now the build part is ok, the install part doesnt seem
to copy the file with the right permissions. will edit'em by hand :)
