sorry for the delayed response usually when it happens between the base OS and EPEL its because a new package was added to the base OS and it is usually deleted from EPEL's repos. I ran into this when 6.4 came out if i remember correctly. just delete the EPEL version. that said I am unsure with the new CentOS development model under red hat if you delete it in EPEL and it comes back then I would open a bug ticket.
