It's also hideously inefficient.
It'd be far better to hook into the registrar system (they *have* to
exchange "I've sold domain name X" info in real time...) and whenever a
new domain is added, insert a new Domain_name,30_day_Expiry entry into a
database.
Then daily|hourly you'd build a zone file from the unexpired domain
names.
