Bad advice there, Fred.  That's a material alteration of the spam.  Not
a good idea.

SpamCop uses the date *your* ISP stamped on the mail when they handled
it, not the one the spammer forged.  If the spam is too old it's not
because of the spammer being clever, but because your ISP's time setting
is wrong, or the spam got held up in their system.  Or the spam might
just be too old, too.
