One simple question for you. Did you CONFIRM that the address entered on your web
page belonged to the person who entered it. IF the address was forged to your site by
someone who did not own it and then you sent commercial email to that address without
verifying it. You DID spam the owner of the address.

Please see http://mail-abuse.org/manage.html.

Failure to follow a simple Confirmation step opens up your list to abuse as I (or
anyone else) could go to your site and enter anyone's (friends/family/ENEMIES) address
to your site and you would simply spam each and every one of them without any sort of
verification.

As stated (but I'll reitterate) Whend SOMEONE signed up at an FFA THEY agreed to
receive email from the owner. However YOU may NOT be sending the message to THEM but
to someone ELSE who has never (nor would they ever) visit your site.
