Yes, the kernel would print a similar line to the above.
How recently did you purchase this Ultra5? As the past few months or
so Sun has been putting newer HME chips into these machines which
trips up our driver into not seeing any nor transmitting any packets.
This could be the problem, and if it is I am actively trying to obtain
one of these boards so I can fix the problem. If this is not the
problem you are seeing then I have Jakub looking into possible
installer NIC detection bugs.
