Hi, I'm had some serious problems with my SPARCclassic X. When I still had it's nvram hostid set so that it believed it were a Classic X, the linux kernel would Oops when it found the scsi chip. Now I've modified the nvram so that the box thinks it's a Classic (without X) and it boots a self-compiled 2.2.1 kernel from the harddisk, but it still has problems when I boot from a Debian/Sparc 2.1 (kernel 2.0.36 and 2.2.1): it loops with continuous scsi bus resets. Does anybody have an idea what's the reason for that strange behaviour (Oops when it's a Classic X, and the bus-resets when it's a Classic)?
