I have not had anyproblems with ssh-1.2.26 from rh-4.1,5.2,6.0
usually i compikle with ./configure --prefix=/usr
--with-rsaref=./rsaref/src --with-libwrap
make install --prefix=/ssh-1.2.26.sparc
then make an rpm out of the binary
you may be being denied by wrappers or some other program you have running
tail -f /var/log/messages when you try to ssh in .... make sure you dont
have the port blocked 22.
