S.A.N.E. on SLinus

Today I tried cooking sane-1.0.1 but it hurled.  The README
says nothing about compiling on Slinux, so, Oh well.  If I
can't get this working on Slinux, I get to set it up for NT
where everything hurls _after_ it's compiled.

Just wondering if anyone has been playing with this or
had success.
