Does anybody know if the scsiinfo utility has been ported
to sparc-linux?
For those who don't know, scsiinfo is a life saving utility
that is found unedr Solaris (but, stupidly enough, not distributed with
taht OS) that writes a nice format.dat entry for any SCSI disk, and
makes it possible to write a disklabel. It has saved my butt more than
once, and now I have found that it does not compile on Linux. (what you
is found on the FAQ, that any combination of tracks/cylinders/heads that
adds up to the unformatted capacity of the disk should work is total bs,
by the way)
For several reasons I cannot/do not want double boot Solaris/Linux, and
I'd rather avoid the iBCS stuff.
While I did found a Linux utility also called scsiinfo, it does totally
unrelated things.
Any help greatly appretiated.
