Hello Raimund,
I had similar problems when I used the kernel 2.2-15. This was compiled
with an egcs version containing a bug. I read this somewhere on the RH web
server. since I updated to kernel 2.2-22 all problems disappeared. The
kernel 2.2-22 is
available on the RH web site. You can also compile it Your self. Then You
have to update all Your kernel sources.
