Hi. I just obtained a SPARCstation 5, with which I want to build a ipchains-based NAT firewall for my home network. The latest kernel on updates.redhat.com is 2.2.5, but it would appear to me from e.g. ftp://ftp.rustcorp.com/ipchains/ipchains-patch-2.2.desc, that I'd be better off using 2.2.11 or later, but then from the release notes on 2.2.13 it would appear that I really want that. So my question is, other than, say, the pile-o-patches in ftp://updates.redhat.com/6.0/sparc/ (which I assume to be regression-tested only against 2.2.5) are there other updates I should be installing as I bring the system up to 2.2.13 (compiler, libraries, etc)? I'll be following the various firewalling and ipchains howtos and not be providing any services on that machine not specifically related to the firewall function (although it will do the ppp dialup itself), so I don't need detail on updates to things like X or NFS or anything like that. BTW, any ETA on RH6.1/SPARC?
