My name is Sandra Louis & I'm a Programmer in Donovan
Systems Malaysia. My company has been dealing with Sun SPARC
workstation/server & also RAID for the past 9 years. Now, we are
diversifying our business & decided to port Linux applications into our
64-bit UltraSparc machine, called Penguin64 (P64).
Penguin64 is the world's first 64-bit Linux Server based on
Sun's UltraSPARC technology. The processor in it is the 300MHz
UltraSparc-IIi CPU & it runs with RedHat Linux 6.1 and Solaris 7 so that
the
users can choose between these two depending on their budget.
My main task is to port some applications into P64 & I am
in need of some points in order to start this project (which will be
made available online soon). I'm a newbie in porting applications so I
need some guidelines/information on what are the steps in order to
port applications especially, linux apps that can run in intel machine
into an UltraSparc machine like P64.
I may not be able to explain myself clearly in the above questions, so

knowedge
would be very useful to other developers as well.
