If you go over 2GB (though you can force Archive Manager into using a 4GB file) then Archive Manager will shutdown and you won’t have anymore event/stat captures until you manually purge the database and bring Archive Manager back up. One would hope that in Spectrum 9.0 this silly limitation would be history itself, but I don’t think that’s the case. So if you have a relatively small number of events, longer retentions won’t be a problem…. If you have a large number of events, then you will run up against the file limit. You have to restart your Archive Manager via the Contol panel AFAIR. The database is an MySQL database and were able to examin it’s content using phpmyadmin but the data did not make a lot of sense to me.
