  I think the way of the Corba api hides from you all the low-level  
stuff. Now, look at the page 19 of the Dev. api reference, there is a  
test which for me completed ok.

  - cd /d %SPECROOT%/SDK/examples/SSORB/DevelopmentAPI
  - %SPECROOT%/java/bin/javac -Djava.ext.dirs=%SPECROOT%/lib GetDomainID.java
    (silently compiled)
  - %SPECROOT%/java/bin/java -Djava.ext.dirs=%SPECROOT%/lib GetDomainID
  output -  the landscape handle.

Mind you, this was done on the server itself, things probably go  
another way executing the program from another machine. But just as  
the docs recommend, try to use 'nsutil' (it's in %SPECROOT%/bin/VBNS)  
to check for connectivity to your server.
  Don't forget Jerome's suggestion also, I'm no programmer and the  
Spectrum support guys will gladly help you.
