Thanks Christian. It definitely is not a time out. I think the response I got from Jason earlier nailed it on the head (thanks Jason) that it's a memory limit issue with the java instance because the configs on these devices are extremely large. Now I am just trying to find where to change that setting on a linux install.

"Unable to connect to the ncmservice. The ncmservice daemon may not be running on the SPECTRUM host machine." The unusual thing is our script will work on 7 out of our 10 redline devices and only errors like this on 3 devices. Even more unusual is the script worked fine on the 3 erring devices the first time it ran, but once a config backup has done once on these devices I get this error.
