You can use the spectrum event "Procedure" (which are under ...\CsVendor\CA\Procedures) in EventDisp file to not create Alarm if models IP is x.x.x.x and create alarm if models IP is other than x.x.x.x
You can develop flexible solution if you use the "Procedure" From: ROUSSEAUX Jonathan [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, November 25, 2009 11:41 AM To: spectrum Subject: RE: [spectrum] DUPLICATE MAC WITH DIFFERENT IP DETECTED Hello, I think you can do it either in 8.1 or 9.x, use ECE or Event configuration. - Identify the event that generates the alarm (for me 0x000010910: Device {m} of type {t} has an IP address ({S 1}). - Remove the alarm generation. - Create an event rule condition on that event that trigger another new event (you've to create it, a copy of the first one should do it) in case the event is not on hosts (maybe a regex on a certain kind of hostname???) you want to exclude. - Edit the new event and define it to create a minor alarm with the duplicate MAC message (0x000010518 fr me). Something like this should work but don't ask for more details, Kind regards, ___________________________________________________________ Jonathan Rousseaux Operations Support - Network and System Management Axa Tech NESD Postal Address: Bd du Souverain, 25 - B-1170 Bruxelles, Belgium Int.Post: W04/687 Visitors Address: Avenue Marcel Thiry, 208 - B-1200 Bruxelles, Belgium [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Tel. : +32 2 62 29 045 - Fax : +32 2 62 29 110 [cid:[email protected]] Please consider the environment before printing this message ________________________________ From: SERVICIOS DE PRODUCCION. At this time I'm working with Version 8.1.0.2.1, but we are going to update it next week. The only one "solution" I've found It's creating an alarm filter without this alerts. I know it's dangerous but we don't found any solution for the moment. which version you have installed? Other than disabling the alarm globally through the ECE, I am unaware of a method of disabling this alert on a per device basis. If anyone else has a solution I would be interested also. Frequently we have virtual systems also throwing off this alarm.
