Hello list-

Just a quick warning on the HF11 installer... When we ran it on our RHEL5
OneClick servers, it changed the user/group of every file it touched to
root:root, which meant that the user ssadmin couldn¹t read them anymore.
This manifested itself like this:

$ sudo -u ssadmin ./startTomcat.sh
/usr/SPECTRUM/bin/cmdC: error while loading shared libraries:
libPTTClient.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Starting Tomcat
/usr/SPECTRUM/bin/launchinstdbapp: error while loading shared libraries:
libPTTClient.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Error starting TOMCAT

It¹s easy enough to fix just use ³chown -R² to reset all the permissions
but I thought the error was obscure enough that people should be warned.

This happened whether we ran the installer as root or as ssadmin. There were
no issues upgrading our SpectroServers on Solaris.

HTH,
Jim
