Hi gurus, I have a question about Spectrum sizing. I'm using Spectrum 8.1 H14 on two Windows 2003 servers (SS on one physical, OC and RM on one virtual). There are about 240k models in SS. Polling rate is standard 5 minutes. Is there a way to perform Spectrum sizing and see if server can handle this much models or we should split it in two SSs? I've
asked
CA and they told me I need CA Professional Services onsight to perform it. As this is not an option, is there a way to do it anyway?
Spectrum provides a Performance View that can analyze the system's KPIs and offer you a rough estimate on what level of capacity it's operating. It also gives you an insight into what parts of the system need more tuning/re-sizing. I think there is a document on this in the spectrum bookshelf that explains the functioning of the tool and how the results should be interpreted.
