Jim,

Thanks! The MGT is very helpful.

The only thing I did not realize was collect the interface’s name (model
name). I did some mod on ‘.modelinggatewayresource.xml’ PortExport (the xml
snippet follows), but it didn’t show as expected.
Is there any thing else I should do?

<Attributes
         circuit_id                    = "0xc4042f"
         circuit_name                  = "0xc40430"
         community_string              = "0x10024"
         agent_port                    = "0x10023"
         DeviceType                    = "0x23000e"
         is_managed                    = "0x1295d"
         log_ratio                     = "0x10072"
         manager_name                  = "0x3dc0009"
         model_modify_author           = "0x11025"
         model_name                    = "0x1006e"
         name                          = "0x1006e"
…

Hello Rogério-

This sounds like a good job for the modeling gateway, which is
well-documented in the “Modeling Gateway Toolkit” manual. It will export as
much or as little information you need to an XML file, based on an XML
template. If needed, you could then write a small script to translate the
exported XML file into some other format. We’ve even used the modeling
gateway to export our entire topology and reimport it without any data loss
(to fix some corrupted connections).

HTH,
Jim

      Hi All,

      Is there an efficient way to list all devices, ports and its IP
      addresses to automatically export those information to a third party
      asset system by a script (I mean using something like the CLI, not
      oneclick itself)?

      The only way I figured out is, on CLI, show the devices and
      interfaces and after all interact over each one to retrieve the
      ip_address attribute (show attributes). This process has been too
      slow!

      Sincerely,

      Rogério Ferreira da Cunha
