If you want to receive traps into pingable model type, just add the following line into $SPECROOT/SS/.vnmrc: enable_traps_for_pingables=TRUE You need to restart SS in order to update changes on spectrum. If vendor's traps are not recognised by spectrum, go to MIB-Tools, import appropriate MIBs and map traps into events/alarms as desired. You will find detail information inside spectrum's pdfs.
