Hi Brad,

You can either use what James recommended or you can use "psexec" (from
SysInternals).
Psexec lets you execute an app on a remote machine - in your case, you can
start the cmd.exe on the SpectroServer and run the ping/traceroute ... you can
see the output of the command all the way.
Psexec is not very easy to get working but not very complicated either, it is
just a string of trial and error. Some more attention should be paid if the
system where OC console runs is a Win Vista/Win7 (because of the UAC).

Get psexec and have a play with it.

Hi,

As far as I know, ping, telnet, ssh and poll are launched from SpectroServer.
If you want to create menu items to launch traceroute or nslookup, you
need to modify your OneClick config xml files. In this case,
applications are execute in your OneClick client.

It's not trivial to execute applications in the SpectroServer side. I
can think of two possibilities:

a) execute a script to telnet/SSH to your SpectroServer and simulate a
traceroute/nslookup.

b) create a piece of code to use SpectroServer APIs... but not sure
you can achieve your goal this way. In order to launch telnet/SSH/ping
through SpectroServer, CA uses daemons/proxy running in the server
side (like telnetd).

I hope this can help.

Best Regards.
James.
