I spoke to CA regarding something similar. They gave me the following attributes to look at , in Spectrum 8 but they are also in Spectrum 9 although it may work differently.
Under attribute editor on the model you are looking to change you can choose the Interface Name Primary Suffix and/or the Interface Name Secondary Suffix, should be under Interface Configuration in Attribute Editor.
