Hi all, On one of our sites we replaced cisco 6500 switches with new 4500 switches. When the transition happened we kept the name of new devices the same however changed the IP addresses. I deleted the 6500 models from spectrum once the new switches came online.
I want to get serial numbers of 6500 devices now, so I ran the detailed change report and clicked on the details link next to the device which was deleted. When the Asset detailed report got generated it correctly reported the old IP, device type and the date on which it was destroyed. However the firmware version, serial number and system description are being displayed of the new 4500 switch we have. Has some one run into this issue before?
