Augustus, $SPECROOT/bin has stopss.pl script which you can use for graceful shutting down SS and Archive Manager.
Hope this helps, Saurabh Bohra O: 860-766-0842 | M: 860-385-3597 | e-mail: [email protected] From: Augustus von Bear [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, April 12, 2012 3:52 PM To: spectrum Subject: [spectrum] SpectroServer automated shutdown - possible? All, It has been a long time since I ask a question. A recent question about automation for Spectrum shutdowns was asked. My learning says to shutdown Spectrum by its Control Panel (push the button). Itself then closes databases and disconnects the people connected to it. However, someone asked if something can be automatically build to shutdown it and close everything. I know that Control Panel, Spectrum, and everything else is controlled by ProcessD. If I stop that using a script or trigger it to stop Spectrum before server turns off, can database get corrupt? Also, I read somewhere that cmdC can turn off Spectrum. Is that possible instead of ProcessD shutdown? Please help. Spectrum Version = 9.1.x Thank you. Cheers!
