Hi Jon, list, from my point of view it's not an issue specifically with cat37stack, since more and more device types arise as virtual/stacked chassis consisting of multiple physical chassis (VSS, 2960S, cat38stack,...). I'm still not convinced, that displaying a single chassis type would be the ideal approach. However, you always have the possibility to add the relevant MIB attributes to the chassis modeltypehandle and use the newly created attribute IDs in the table-model-config.

Hi, Thanx for the answer. Now the big question is how do I get this information in a column in «Devices" / "all devices» in the locater? Previously I added the Software version as a column, i guess I can do it a similar way, but I have no idea how to do it since the attribute belongs to the app model. I think maybe Ca could have done a better job on modeling the Cisco cat3750, its the only cisco device we have that doesn’t show with type of its series it is:-( Best Regards Jon Magnus Dullerud Nor CyDef, Cyber Services and Operations (Norwegian CyberDefence) 28. mai 2015 kl. 11.32 skrev Franck, Raphael <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>>: Hi Jon, list, the cisco-chassis-sub-app-view-config.xml is referred to/used only, if an application model of type CiscoChasApp (modeltypehandle 0x210032) is existing for a particular device model. This application model contains the information/attributes specific to the underlying MIB. There are many similar examples like CiscoCDPApp, CiscoFlashApp, etc. – each of the specific views will be displayed if the corresponding application model is existing, only. Having said that, many of MIB-specific attributes reside on these application submodels, not on the device models. Sidenote: Entity View shall be preferred in favor of Cisco Stack and Cisco Chassis View. In the file Cisco-chassis-sub-app-view.xml the topmost of the values in the red «outline" is referred to as 21031d, I dont understand how I can use this attr in the locater tab also. It must be a entry in the file table-model-config.xml in the custom/common/config catalog to make it show as a new column in the locater. --- To unsubscribe from spectrum, send email to [email protected] with the body: unsubscribe spectrum [email protected]
