So by saying his favorite is scissors he works it out that he thinks his opponents will think he wants him to throw rock. So to be on the safe side his opponent chooses to throw scissors, so he should throw rock :-)
But if his opponent is smart, he should throw paper :-) Man this really does get too complicated too quickly lol.
