Hi Guys
I want to use an old laptop (HP Omnibook 800) as a
router for my ADSL connection. [My wife has banned PC's from the living room,
but is prepared to accept this laptop sitting in the corner]
Since this machine pre-dates USB ports, I have
bought a Belkin USB BusPort Mobile Adapter
which plugs into the PCMCIA slot.
So I have two questions. I am aware that the first
is a little off topic - sorry.
a) has anyone got one of these PCMCIA cards working
under linux? I assume I need to load a kernel module - which?
b) is there any chance that someone has even run a
speedtouch through it? If so, how?
All advice gratefully received - except for
suggestions that I buy a new machine :)
Thanks
Lee
