4.3-STABLE as of about May, iirc.

I'm starting ppp manually at the moment, so I'l just post the bits
of ppp.conf that are relevant.

default:
 ident user-ppp VERSION (built COMPILATIONDATE)
set log Phase Chat LCP LQM IPCP CBCP CCP DNS Filter ID0 tun command
 set ifaddr 10.0.0.1/0 10.0.0.2/0 255.255.255.0 0.0.0.0
 set timeout 0
 add default HISADDR

adsl:
 set device !"pppoa2 -vpi 0 -vci 38 -v 1"
 set authname [EMAIL PROTECTED]
 set authkey "YOU-DON'T-NEED-TO-KNOW-THIS"
 set speed sync
 # enable lqr
 # set lqrperiod 30

The output from modem_run is the same as on Linux.

I've just found Francois's message about BSD-related fixes from 2001-08-27,
so I'm about to upgrade my FreeBSD installation and try that.

Tony.
