Hi,

I got the same microcode upload error with linux (RedHat 7.2 using kernel 2.4.7-10)
and SpeedTouch as Ken de Veaux got a couple of weeks ago (see archive). I tried the
then recommended solution of using the windows file (from my Alcatel CD) ver 1.4.3.
But this file and the my linux file (ver 1.3.4) gave the same error.
I got the windows file directly from the alcatel CD, so it can't be an FTP error.
I used the latest speedtouch driver (version 1.0) from file speedtouch-1_0.tar.gz.

I like to fix it before my ADSL is activated tomorrow.

Has anybody a solution?

This is the output modem_run gave:

[root@rork mgmt]# modem_run -v 1 -f ./mgmt.o
Gotcha, I found your ADSL ALCATEL SpeedTouch USB modem!
best offset 6463 with probability 87%
best offset 532634 with probability 100%
BLOCK1: Connection timed out
Uploading ./mgmt.o failed! Continuing anyway ...

ADSL line is blocked?

[root@rork mgmt]# modem_run -v 1 -f ./alcaudsl.sys

Thanks in advance for any tips,
