I already played with USB resetting thanks to an ioctl call in GNU/Linux. It
appears my modem was reseting randomly so neither i commited it to the CVS nor
i published a patch on the list.

At this time, i asked francois to find the equivalent ioctl call on BSD systems,
and it was not implemented at all (6 or 8 months ago) so i doubt we will succeed
in resting this modem the right way (not the GNU/Linux way). There's probably some
voodoo command to send to the modem through the USB to reset it... but as you
know we have not the specs of the modem, so we gave up.

But you're welcome, a good start would be to see if the BSD equivalent of the
Linux USBDEVFS_RESET ioctl now exists. And then play with it like i did and see
if you have more luck than i had :-)
