I believe the driver expect to find the tun/tap device under /dev/net. If your device only exists under /dev (search for tap* files) you can (maybe)create a directory net under /dev and then create a symbolic lynk to /dev/tap0 > Feb 21 22:42:35 fwall pppd[15137]: Script /usr/bin/pppoa3 -vpi 0 -vci 35 -b -e > 1 -m 1 -c finished (pid 15141), status = 0xff00 > [...] > Feb 21 22:42:36 fwall pppd[15137]: Modem hangup > Feb 21 22:42:36 fwall pppd[15137]: Connection terminated. > Feb 21 22:42:36 fwall pppd[15137]: using channel 224 > Feb 21 22:42:36 fwall pppd[15137]: Using interface ppp0 > Feb 21 22:42:36 fwall pppd[15137]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/pts/2 > Feb 21 22:42:36 fwall pppoa3[15208]: Error opening tun/tap device.
