Although I have the same firmware and modem_run files so its not that.  I
found out that it could be something to do with APIC and I've changed grub
so it loads the kernel with the noapic option, its better (touch wood) but
has done it once since changing it.  If it does it again I'll try what
Duncan says and change it to the USB 2 port etc.
