PPPoA and PPPoE both use ATM (!). PPPoE means (I think) that data is wrapped up into ethernet packets, and these are then put into ATM cells and sent via the ATM layer. While PPPoA means the data is directly put into ATM cells. Yes, it is kind of a strange way to do things... Duncan.
