We have Debian-woody, kernel 2.4.22, Mozilla 1.6, KDE/Konqueror 3.1.4 We are using the purple modem Speedtouch 330 (USB) and userdriver pppoa3-1.2-beta2. On our PC there exists an "old" M$-ME partition - but never used.
Since a year or more all works fine. We have a small office and so we use e-mail and browsers daly and intensively without any problem - BUT (!!) there are 2 websites (from 1000) we cannot connect to: www.oasis-open.org www.psk.at The only thing we get is a timeout message (from the remote servers?) (The location OASIS-OPEN is used at installation of the GNUCASH documentation package and PSK is an Austrian bank we want to use as an additional bank connection.) Painfully using the same hardware configuration on the same PC with M$-ME-IE - we get connected! At first I thought the problem would be my browser settings and so I tried some modifications (without success) but the GNUCASH docu package tries to connect dircectly to OASIS-OPEN without any browser (and without success too). My startscripts look like follows: /etc/init.d/uadsl.sh (called at system start) modem_run -f /var/opt/speedtouch/mgmt.o -m -s pppd call uadsl /etc/ppp/peers/uadsl (called from the pppd line before) defaultroute pty "/usr/sbin/pppoa3 -c -m 1 -vpi 8 -vci 48" sync user 0123456789 /etc/ppp/options is "empty"; no option activated I thank you for any advice Liste de diffusion modem ALCATEL SpeedTouch USB Pour se désinscrire : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
