 ... and an update. Of course it is not VT6202. My mainboard is FIC 503+, with
MVP3 chipset - so I guess it is VIA82c586b set. Why lspci displays it as VT6202
is unknown for me - perhaps there's some mixup in pci ids database. Perhaps
/proc/pci dump would be more appropiate:

I've also tried putting another USB controller (Silicon Image on usb-ohci
driver), but not only did disconnect remained, but also I've got some random
'aiee, killing interrupt handler' with it. Not quite useful :/

 Right now I've got an upload running, capped at 5KBpsec - it seems to work
 that way. But I'm not quite comfortable with that :/
