I'll take that as a "it should work" and throw everything in here that I can find.
I have all the specified kernel options turned on and am running Kern 2.6.8. The Debian speedtouch and hotplug packages are installed. I am currently using the firmware.bin file from http://speedtouch.sourceforge.net/files/firmware.bin The file /etc/hotplug/usb/speedtouch seems different from that specified in the config but I added the relevant parts to where they appear they should be MODEM_RUN_OPTIONS="-k -f /usr/local/lib/firmware.bin" PPPD_PEER="speedtouch" Currently its not getting to the PPPoe part but if I try to run it by hand it complains of: /usr/sbin/pppd: In file /etc/ppp/peers/speedtouch: unrecognized option 'nas0' Currently I also have an issue getting it to auto insert the pppoe module but I am inserting that by hand with modprobe pppoe to get around this. I can fix this but one thing at a time. Looking at the non-deb install guide I don't seem to have the binary management app installed, instead having modem_run.
