Hi John, I see that the speedtouch driver in the kernel was explicitly turned off just before modem_run was called. Most likely you are using a script like speedtouchconf - if so, I suggest you uninstall it (speedtouchconf turns off the kernel driver and tries to drive everything itself from userspace, but is failing because modem_run is not working).
