I'm really sorry that it took so long, but as I'm the do-it-right kind of
guy, I wanted to finish the next release of the wiki software properly
because it is being used by others, too, and a lot of things have changed
[1,2]. Here's a summary of the things that are relevant for the new SPF
website:
* Introduced unified link syntax. The following new markups are
supported now:
[[proto://server/path|caption]]
(no more [[Http:...]] uppercase-first-letter-URL hacks!)
[[#anchor|caption]]
[[page#anchor|caption]]
[[##anchor-declaration|caption]]
(This is what we needed for the FAQ!)
* Added support for #INCLUDE praga which allows pages to include the
content of other pages. Just write
#INCLUDE Sandbox
at the start of a line somewhere in a page, and the "Sandbox" page will
be included at that place.
* There is now an improved diff facility with very nice output[3].
Could someone please add [[##anchor]]s to the new FAQ[4] corresponding to
the anchors on the old FAQ[5]? There are a few new items that don't
appear in the old FAQ, so one would have to invent good anchor names for
those new items. I have added an anchor to the first FAQ item as an
example[6].
When that has been done, we can configure the Apache redirect from the old
FAQ to the new one and have old links such as [7] still working.
Julian.
