If theyre the 330lb that a lot of the fast-road springs seem to be - I love them on my Spit - firm but not over the top. Though I do prefer a firm ride to a bouncy one.

Nice if you like throwing your car about - but also require a bit of comfort on motorways etc

Doug, I liked the competition spring that VB sells. Gives a good firm
feel...if that's what your looking for. Mine never came loose when I jacked
it up but you are right, they are shorter. They look funny until you get the
weight of the car on them.

Spitted ones,

I know that some of you have installed the shortened front
springs that SpitBits sells. I have some questions for you.

1. Besides lowering the front of the car, how has the ride
been affected? Is it harsher than the stock ones?

2. Did you have to modify the spring perches for the shorter
springs? Do you have to hold the springs in place when you
jack the car up?

My 31 year old springs are about to be replaced, and I am
trying to determine whether to stay with the stock springs
or go to the shortened ones.

Thanks in advance,

Doug
