8.6.2.2.1(a) 02 references "combustible wood joist or wood truss construction". Most of the spacing requirements (i.e. 8.6.4.1.4.2 & 8.6.4.1.4.3) for slopes greater than 4 in 12 are prefaced by "combustible concealed spaces of wood joist or wood truss construction". What if the construction is 18" composite wood joists on 2 ft centers? NFPA is pretty clear that composite wood joists are not the same as wood joists.
