Is there any consistency as to what part of the hotel these activations occur? One floor? One side of the corridor? windows facing in a certain direction? Room style? Time of year? Time of day? Guest complaints about these rooms (other than excess water)? Is the building haunted?

Maybe they are using the sprinklers to hang something while cleaning the
rooms.

heck, it's early in the morning and I'm just making up stuff before my
coffee kicks in.

Subject: RE: Premature activation

Dave,

The property does not have a fire pump, and the system is not a grid or
a
loop. In no case was there a diffuser or any other appliance near the
sprinkler that would cause a fluctuation in ambient temperature. All
activations were while the rooms were occupied, but at different times
of
the day.

These facts are what lead me to believe the problem is someone
physically
damaging the element.
