Describe the ceiling more clearly. Is there drywall attached to the bottom
of the joists of the light hazard offices?

Subject: Concealed spaces

I have an all steel building (rigid rafters and z-purlins) open to the roof
deck with sprinklers at the deck. On the floor below is an "island" of
several offices with a gypsum ceiling attached to composite wood joist
topped with 3/4 " decking which forms the floor of a mezzanine above these
offices. This non-sprinklered concealed space requires of course the 3000
sq. ft. remote area in the adjacent areas. Does this mean that the system at
the roof deck 15' above this mezzanine must be calculated using the 3000
s.f. area size?

All input will be greatly appreciated,

Ron
