I have a situation where there is approximately a 35’ drop in elevation in the UG piping from the point-of-connection to the building. This is a situation that usually seems to occur in reverse. If it were an increase in elevation I would account for the elevation pressure loss in my calculations, but since this is a drop in elevation do I take that into account with my calculations as well? This would give me an additional 15 or so psi at the base of riser. To me this seems wrong, but is it? Do I add this to my static and residual pressure? Or, is this just added to the residual? Or, do I do nothing at all?
